Isn’t it wonderful to know that you don’t have to be rich, famous, or influential to make a difference in someone’s life? All you have to do is care. One way of expressing that care is through the ministry of SLBC WOF Card Ministry. A card can bring Scripture, encouragement, and hope directly to someone’s heart. When you send a greeting card, you are not only remembering that person, but you are also saying, “God has not forgotten you.” If you know of someone you would like to have a card sent to, whether sick, discouraged, church member or just a friend, please see Betty Young or Vera Miles.

WOF Breakfast "What's in Your Purse" 8.9.09

It is so easy to get up in the morning and drop in some unnecessary things to take along with us as we go about our day. Sometimes we take grumpiness or a bad attitude with us on our way. Those things really clutter up my life. You may have some other things that you carry with you all the time that are getting in your way of serving Christ on a daily basis. Sometimes we need to turn our lives upside down and dump everything out except for those things that honor Christ. We need to be tidy with our Christian lives and just have those things at our fingertips that please the Lord.
